Daniel Kedar was born and raised in Israel. A graduate of Tel-Aviv University where he studied European and African History. He traveled extensively in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, China, Russia, and North America before visiting Haiti in 1991.

Always accompanied by his camera, he took pictures in Haiti for the past 8 years. His work has been published in magazines (travel and photography), newspapers, and calendars. He shares his time between Tel Aviv and Haiti.

June 1999 he exhibited in the Museo de Las Americas in Puerto Rico.

In November 1999 he published his first book Haiti: Reflections, 156 full color photographs of Haiti and its people.

In December 1999 he had a photo exhibition in Petion Ville, Haiti.

His photographs are exhibited in the Presidential Palace in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
